Roadworthy Certificates
An RWC or ‘roadie’ is required in QLD when transferring registration to a new owner, or if a car is transferred to a new QLD rego from another state or territory and finally when re-registering an unregistered vehicle.
Vehicles that require a RWC are: cars, motorcycles, certain trailers and caravans along with any other vehicle with a GVM up to 4,500kg

What's included?
A roadworthy certificate is a way of ensuring cars are safe to be on the road, therefore increasing public safety.
The RWC is a basic inspection of the vehicles key components, to ensure they’re not worn out and are safe to be on the public highway. It doesn’t cover general condition of the car, or items that are covered under a service necessarily.
The main components covered are:
- Steering and suspension
- Braking systems
- Seat belts and seats
- All bulbs
- All windows
- Wheels & Tyres
- Major rust that effects the structure of the vehicle
- Model specific safety related items across the whole vehicle
